Specific Absorption Rates

The FCC has established firm guidelines regarding SAR (Specific Absorption Rates) that Cellular/Wireless Devices must meet. Specific Absorption is the amount of Electromagnetic Radiation Rates absorbed into human tissues. The following comparisons give YOU, the User, the ability to take additional precautions in order to significantly lower your exposures. We provide this information to you in order to provide you with a greater comfort level and solid, educational tools so that you can make the best decision of which phone is right for yourself.

In order for a phone to pass FCC certification, that phone's maximum SAR level must be less than 1.6 W/kg (watts per kilogram). The SAR level listed in our chart represents the maximum SAR level with the phone next to the ear--obtained through required FCC tests.
